Dear Sir/Madam,

I have studied 3 years to obtain Bachelor's degree in Science (chemistry, physics and mathematics) from India. After that I underwent a one year training in echocardiography in 1991 in a reputed hospital in India. Since then I am working as an echohcardiographer. At present I am working as an echocardiographer in the International Hospital of Bahrain, Kingdom of Bahrain for the past 6 years.

I have applied for Canadian immigration and I wish to work as an echocardiographer there.

I kindly request your valuable guidance and adivse, inorder to work as an echocardiographer in Canada.

Also please advise me the relevant and credible on-line course that I can do to equip me with a tool to apply for an echocardiogrpahic vacancy.

If there is any hospital or institution that can sponsor me please let me know as well. I would be very glad to receive a positive reply and I eagerly await your early response.

Thank you in advance

Susan

Susan can apply online to write the ARDMS Exam. She should just go to the ARDMS website (www.ARDMS.org) and look under the heading Examination Application. There is also information there on the required qualifications and documentation. Also there is an Outline of the Exam content and some example exam questions. Hope this helps.

The only program running in Ontario that I know of that would enable someone to write the ARDMS Exam after completion is the Mohawk program. This will be the last year of the Michener Program. There is an echo program at BCIT in British Columbia and also at NAIT & SAIT in Alberta. There may be others that I am unaware of.
