Dear colleague:
I invite you to attend our 15th Annual Canadian Society of Echocardiography meeting on May 9 -11, 2013 at the Hilton in downtown Toronto. The meeting promises to be our largest ever.
As always, the Canadian Echo Weekend is designed around your needs and requests expressed over the past fourteen meetings. This year, we will focus on what you tell us is common in your clinical setting, along with new and evolving technologies that can help enhance your diagnostic capabilities and improve patient care.
This year's guest speaker, Dr. Patricia A. Pellikka, President of the American Society of Echocardiography, will be presenting Stress Echo in Ischemic Heart Disease: Beyond Regional Wall Motion. New this year, based on past delegate feedback, are sessions on Incorporating New Technology in the Lab - Are They Ready for Prime Time?, Conflicting Data during the Echo Exam - How Do I Put it All Together? and the important topic of Ensuring Quality and Effectiveness for every Echo Study - from Guidelines to Regulation. As in previous years, we will run parallel sessions for sonographers and physicians, and present Cases From Across the Continent.
The faculty is looking forward to seeing you again this year at the 15th Annual Canadian Society of Echocardiography Weekend!

At the end of this program, participants will be able to:
- Describe the evolving role and application of echocardiography in patients with suspected and overt cardiac disease.
- Identify how novel and evolving echocardiography techniques can be applied to the clinical practice of echocardiography
- Recognize the important components of an echocardiography quality assurance program and how to integrate these components into the clinical laboratory.
